Antonio Genovese's Futura shoe factory was founded in 1957 by Salvatore, a skilled production technician. At the time, Salvatore was one of the few who made women's shoes by hand from start to finish: he designed the upper and, by hand, cut the parts of the leather that make up the shoe; he assembled and mounted the upper, fixing it to the insole and to the last, then moving on to carding and pre-gluing, applying the sole and heel; after which we moved on to the finishing phase of the shoe, cleaning the product from processing residues and the leather was finished with special creams, ironing and brushing to give the final product a unique character.
In the early 80s, having come of age, the eldest son Antonio embraced his father's experience, focusing on the company reorganization, in such a way as to adapt the shoe factory to a wider market, involving a large part of the national territory. Having expanded the market has not caused the product to lose its artisanal character which, over the years, has kept faith with Salvatore's processing methods, with some improvements appreciated by the final consumer: just think of the Memory cushion , inserted inside of the shoe, which gives the shoe greater comfort making it much appreciated above all by women who, for work reasons , spend a lot of time on their feet.
