It was something like 80F and sunny when the Hawthorne Urban Farmers’ Market kicked off its Sophmore Season on Sunday, 13 June 2010.

This soft-opening included Shari Love brought gorgeously, Urban-crafted floral arrangements Friday of the Sellwood Garden Club, brought a bevvy of varied produce as grown by the Agricultural Triumvirate of the SGC, Sunroot Gardens CSA (peas!)
and Riverhouse CSA, on over 50 plots in SE Cully Farm, representin’ the Northern Territories, brought the prettiest head lettuces of the season, so far We’ll be there, every Sunday, from 1-6pm, and hope to see you there soon. Advertisements

The New Hawthorne Market Urban Farmers’ Market is a unique venture in SE Portland that links the urban farmers that have only made their products available via Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares, to the larger community.
