A DJ is someone who plays the music you hear on radio stations, internet radio stations, local bars and dance clubs, and even at wedding receptions. A disc jockey will consider their target audience when selecting the tracks to be played and often has a set list given to them by the company they work for. The term disc jockey wasn’t coined until the 1930’s. The World’s first DJ dance party was thrown by Jimmy Savile in 1943, who played jazz records for his guests. As the term DJ derived from the word “DeeJay” which is a person who mixes recorded music on a real-time occasion of any event in a life. As it names also given as “Disc Jockey” because the word “Disc” that referred to gramophone records, While the word “Jockey” that defines a profession who mixes the recorded music.
